This side panel plugs into the same spot where the humidifier goes. Many people don't like to use the humidifier because filling it with water every night and cleaning it once a week requires a lot of maintenance. The humidifier can be detached and this side panel can be put in its place.(see pictures) Removing the humidifier reduces the total size of the unit so it can be easily stored in your carry on luggage.
Therefore, if you are one of those people who does not use your humidifier, then this side panel is for you.
The color of this side panel is gray (not black) and it is compatible with all Airsense 10s, Aircurve 10s, and Airstart 10s.
